Today is International Girls Day.
I think they’ve got a pretty excellent message to get across, and that is that girls often don’t have the confidence they should have. We can blame media, parents, society, and argue over who is at fault, but in the end – it is reality that girls often lack confidence (particularly about image issues).
The message for International Girls Day from the Confidence Coalition is “She can do anything.” I’m sure most of us parents can get behind that kind of message, since most of us want our children to dream big and feel there is nothing that they can’t do that they set their mind to.

To me it sounds like a great day to spend a few minutes to tell a little girl you know that she should let her dreams drive her because she is capable of anything.
