It is, according to pretty much every Democrat that I know, something which is the hallmark tactic of the Republican party. They strongly believe that these horrible Republican corruptions must be ended before Republicans ruin what little is left of the democratic election process. Funny, since Republicans think the same thing about Democrats, but Democrats believe that their people don’t do these sorts of things, being so much more elevated and evolved (deluded?) you know.
What I find very amusing about this awesome example of delusional rambling is that Democrats really emotionally tie themselves and their beliefs to candidates in a God-like rock star worshiping way. Their candidate, their party, it just can do no wrong in their eyes. Only Republican politicians can ever be corrupt. Only conservatives can ever lie or manipulate. Only right leaning people are unfair, racist, and discriminatory.
Most of the Democrats that I know take it personally when anyone dares to criticize Obama, as if I’m blaspheming God instead of an elected candidate. They seem to have forgotten that the job of the individual citizen is to question the government and continually ensure that it is doing what it should, that people play a role in the balance of powers and aren’t supposed to just blindly follow around like a teenager suffering from a bad case of hero-worship. I suppose it is symptomatic of a society with a very poor education system and little to no proper civics and government policy instruction.
Well I suppose observations like that are what get us branded as bitter and clinging to our guns and religion.
So I’d like to know how they explain away these types of obvious issues. By the way, I went out of my way to avoid using conservative news sources for these links so that liberals don’t immediately question the source.
In Wood County, Ohio (again in this major swing state) 8,045 more people voted than there were eligible adults living in the county. (See Wood County toward the end of the chart list)
Again in Ohio, this time in Cleveland. 21 districts received zero votes for Romney. In 23 districts, he received precisely 1 vote. In those 44 districts combined, Obama won 14,686 to 23. That’s .16% of the vote for Romney. Of course, that’s not counting all the precincts in Cleveland where there were under 5 votes, just the ones where there were one or none. It’s really worse when you look at the rest. Of course, Cleveland is relevant since it is such a populated area. Look for yourself at the official election results. You should scroll down to the part where they talk about the presidential race, the look at columns 05 and 06 (Obama and Romney) then follow those columns down to the Cleveland precincts.
This wasn’t all there was, but it is enough to illustrate my point because every single one of these cases lead to a result that favored Obama.
Remember that clinging to guns and religion? I can’t blame all those people petitioning for secession, I’m livid too.
When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. – Thomas Jefferson
Democrats need to stop deluding themselves into thinking that Democrats are perfect little creatures who never do anything bad. They need to take off their blinders and look closely at the people they put in office and the methods they use to get there. They need to wake up to a reality that politicians are a group of people mostly made up of those who are good at lying, manipulating, bribing and getting bribed (or wait, we call it lobbying right?), and that trusting any of them is downright foolish.
Democrats – Instead of creating a divine state of reverence for a politician who makes a career out of furthering themselves, trust your ideals, trust your beliefs, stand behind your vision of the world. While we may disagree at least you have our respect.
